Vegas Poker world : : The main Vegas Poker event
The main event of the World Series poker las Vegas the $10,000 buys-in no-limit Texas Hold 'Em tournament since 1972. There have been many unforgettable moments during the main events, counting Jack Straus's 1982 comeback win after finding out he had one $500 chip left when he thought he was out of the competition.
Four gamblers have succeeded the main competitions multiple times: Johnny Moss (1970, 1971 and 1974), Doyle Brunson (1976 and 1977), Stu Ungar (1980, 1981 and 1997) and Johnny Chan (1987 and 1988.)
The end of the 1988 main competitions was featured in the movie rounder’s. Chris Moneymaker and Greg Raymer, the champions in 2003 and 2004 both competent for the main event through satellite competition at the Poker Stars online card room. Several living poker legends have tried ineffectively for years to succeed the main event, including T. J. Cloutier, the 1985 and 2000 World series poker champion.
As of 2006, a cap of 8,000 gamblers is now an official condition of the Main Event. With the exception of champions of the World Series Of Poker Main Event satellite competition, all remaining gamblers must provide the $10,000 buy-in, in order to take part.
Vegas Poker world : : HOSE - The Hybrid Poker Game
HOSE stands for 4 different poker styles: Holdem, Omaha, Stud, and Eight or Better. If you are a poker enthusiast for all types of poker and want to experience playing different poker game varieties, then the HOSE Game may be your next poker challenge.
The general rules may be that there is a change in the poker game type for every 10 hands played in one type of poker before another poker game type is played. Another guideline is to switch the poker game type every half hour. You won't find this poker game offered at all the Casino's in Vegas Poker, just some of them.
The Monte Carlo is one such casino. They have HOSE games every Thursday evening. Sometimes they have 2 poker HOSE tables on that night, depending on interest. We would only suggest you sign up for a HOSE game if you are already familiar with the different styles of poker games. Otherwise, stick to the poker game you have learned.
World Series Poker Rules
There are the authorized rules for World Series of Vegas Poker competition gambling. These rules concern to all WSOP tournaments. Before gambling in any poker competition, it is important that you review the authorized rules for that particular competition. Even if you are recognizable with general poker tournament gambling, many competitions have their own custom. Often the rules have to do with fairness and politeness to other gamblers so, at the very least; reviewing the rules will be a good souvenir of poker etiquette.
World Series of Poker Rules
Before gambling in any WSOP tournaments, be sure to ensure with the casino for any revisions to the regulations for World Series of Poker tournaments.
You must be at least 21 years old to gamble in any World Series of Poker competition.
Floor public are to consider the best attention of the game and fairness as the top main concern in the decision-making procedure. Unusual situation can, on instance, dictate that the technical understanding of the rules be ignored in the interest of equality. The floor person’s decision is ultimate.
Side pots: Each side pot will be split as a detached pot. They will not be mixed jointly before they are split. (Online Poker Gambling)
Chip race rule: When it is occasion to color-up chips, they will be raced off with a greatest of one chip going to any gambler. The chip race will always begin in the No.1 seat. A gambler cannot be raced out of a competition. In the event that a gambler has only one chip left, the regular race process will take place. If that gambler loses the race, he will be given one chip of the smallest value still in gambling.
Calling for the clock procedures: Once a sensible amount of time has passed and a clock is called for, a gambler will be given one minute to make a decision. If action has not been taken by the time the minute is over, there will be a 10-second countdown. If a gambler has not acted on his hand by the time the countdown is over, the hand will be dead. Dead Button: Tournament play will use a dead button.
A gambler must be at the table by the time all gamblers have complete hands in order to have his hand live. Gamblers must be at the table to call time. In flop games, the big blind's hand will be dead if he is not there to act on it previous to the flop. In stud-type games, the forced low hand will be right away dead if the gambler is not there to act on his hand at the time he is required to put wealth in the pot (the minimum bring-in will be posted and the hand will be killed).
All cards will be turned face up once a gambler is all in and all action is absolute.

Scotty Nguyen Wins $50K World Championship H.O.R.S.E. - Nolan Dalla on Monday June 30th, 2008, the $50,000 buy-in H-O-R-S-E World Championship (Event #45) attracted 148 entries, creating a prize pool totaling $7,104,000. The top 16 finishers collected prize money. World Series of Poker.
The $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em championship (Event #49) fascinated another huge field as 2,718 entries created a reward pool totaling $3,710,070. The top 270 finishers collected prize cash. There are 25 No-Limit Hold’em events on this year’s agenda. This was the sixth of seven $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em competitions on the agenda.
Jerry Yang Becomes 2007 World Series of Poker Champion!
On July 17, 2007, nine gamblers took their seats, each with their eyes on an amazing $8.25 Million payday, and the most sought-after reward in poker: the bracelet that would go to the gambler who became the next World Series of Poker world champion. Ninth place would receive $525,934, and our first millionaire would be made when we reached five remaining gamblers. Philip Hilm entered the day with the chip lead, sitting on roughly 23,000,000 in chips. Hilm's lead, however, was only 3 Million above second place Tuan Lam.
